I was just going to send in a question about your longest term sports grudges. John Elway, howie shultz and any success from notre dame football, the nyy or cowboys are some of my prime contenders. my shorter term example is the cleveland browns for the de$haun contract, however karma is handling that pretty well.

THEN I read about your sports career at RHS. I was, rightfully, on the 1st round of cuts every year for hoops. while getting cut from that lousy team did hurt, I played recreationally for decades for fun, league hoops through my late 50's when I declared to myself that I was the best remaining hooper on the mid-70's mustangs!

Really enjoyed the candid, transparent answers to these great questions and looking forward to the resurrection of the smoking lock of the week!

Thanks Patrick, the way that Smokin’ Lock turned out, wish I’d waited another week to restart it!

"Said that since I was the one who truly wrote those diaries, he wanted to give the $700 to me. So I drove down to Portland to meet him for lunch and sure enough, he handed me seven 100-dollar bills."

GREAT STORY!!

Thanks Greg, nice of Eddie to do that. Saw him years later in Phoenix at a Suns game. Still the same ol’ Eddie.

Who cares what they think? They were entertaining. You should go play a round there.

Dear Jim, Great to see you have taken my suggestion of a Dear Jim weekly advice column similar to the famous Dear Abby columns.

What do you think of our great Commander-in-Chief getting involved with sports washing like Presidential Fitness testing, or thinking of naming himself head of the Los Angeles Olympic committee, or getting involved with the NCAA and NIL and transfer rules? Maybe not great but just average, or really pretty crazy SOB Commander in Chief using sports as a political prop? Am I sounding like a Jim Moore waffle sound bite? 😜

Thanks Axman, appreciate the suggestion. As for President Trump, not sure why he’s getting involved in sports issues but whatever I guess.

That’s interesting to hear your take on Hanauer - as a TV reporter in the Tri-Cities in the early 90s, I had the exact opposite experience with him. Arrogant and condescending are the first two words that come to mind. Maybe he didn’t like women covering sports. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Good morning MaryAnne, that surprises me and doesn’t surprise me at the same time. It surprises me to hear that Chip was like that with you. I typically found him to not feel like he was a big deal and couldn’t understand why anyone would make such a big fuss about him. But I’m not surprised because I’ve had that happen with me too, with other athletes and coaches. The same people who have been short or condescending with me would turn around and be great to other reporters. I covered the hydros from 1989-99 and always looked forward to going over to the Tri-Cities. More fun than Seafair.
